You will then need to re-enrol and you may miss out.
  • Bookings may be transferred to another available class if more than 7 days' notice is given.
  • If you cannot make it to your reserved class, you are welcome to send another child in your place. We do welcome notification, but please be aware that the mosaic shape choice may not be able to be changed.

  • Cancellations are refunded to a maximum of $55.00 to reflect the preparation costs associated with your booking.
  • We do not issue refunds once the class has commenced.
  • Workshed Mosaics reserves the right to alter or cancel a class. If a class is cancelled for any reason a choice of rescheduling or full refund will be given.

  • Please inform us of any dietary requirements when making a booking. Workshed Mosaics is not an allergen-free environment and while we will make every effort, we cannot guarantee that your child will not ingest or encounter an allergen. Please refer to our Frequently Asked Questions page for more specific information regarding allergens.
  • Please advise of any Medical condition or ability issues that we should be aware of.  It is important that you discuss any issues with us by phone so that we can decide if we are able to accommodate them.

Mosaic Class Attendance

  • We do not allow Parents or Guardians to stay for the duration of the class.
  • A Parent (or an allocated responsible adult) must be contactable at ALL times via mobile phone for the duration of the class.
  • Photographs may be taken during the classes and used for marketing or promotional purposes. Photos showing children will only be used by us with the consent of a parent or guardian.
  • Classes will start on time. We allow children to enter 10 minutes prior to the start of the class once they have been signed in by a Parent or Guardian.
  • Workshed Mosaics reserves the right to contact the parents of any child who is behaving erratically, or exhibiting threatening or unruly behaviour during the class and request that they be removed from the class.
  • We request that all Parents and Guardians take care when parking and driving through the carpark.

Mosaic Class Sign in and Sign Out

  • As a security measure and to facilitate the on-time commencement and finish of classes, we require that Parents / Guardians sign their children in at drop-off, and out on pick-up.
  • On arrival to the class there will be a check-in table at the entryway. Check in commences 10 minutes prior to the class commencing.
  • Please check that your Emergency Contact details are correct and sign in for all children that you are leaving in our care.
  • If you are designating a different person to pick up the child/children, we ask that you advise us at this time.
  • After signing in, your child/children can enter the classroom and find their place. Parents and Guardians are asked to say their farewells at this time and not enter the classroom.
  • At pick-up, there will be a check-out table at the entryway (near where photographs of the mosaics are taken). Check out will commence at the end of the class.
  • We request that you (or your designated Guardian) signs out the child/children that they are picking up.

Mosaic Class Seating Policy

  • At the time of your booking, you are given the opportunity to request a group of friends to sit with. We try our best to accomodate all requests, however due to the nature of our classroom set up, sometimes this is not always possible.
  • We set our table configurations taking into consideration a number of factors but generally set up the classroom as 4 x tables of 6 students.
  • Seating is finalised and set only a few days before each class is run. When clashes arise or if groups need to be split, we will notify parents by their designated email address.
  • Children have ample time to socialise with each other during the class, as they are able to move around while collecting their resources. The final hour is also spent as a large group where we are all together outside grouting.
  • Seating requests are not guaranteed and should not form the basis of your booking.
  • We will not change seating on the day of the class, as it is disruptive.

Mosaic Shape Changes

  • We charge $10.00 to make any change to a mosaic shape.
  • Changes can only be made up to 3 days prior to a class running.

Release of Liability

  • When participating in a mosaic class or event, whereby the student/participant will be in the presence of mosaics materials, tiles, mirror, glass, mosaic tools and other sharp objects, the guardian releases, indemnifies and excludes Paul and Elizabeth Petale, The Petale Family Trust, Workshed Mosaics and its contractors and employees from any and all liability of any kind for any damage or injury incurred while attending, participating in a class or visiting Workshed Childrens Mosaics. The guardian understands these terms and conditions and accepts the inherent risks of an art environment when they make a full payment for a class or event.
  • Workshed Mosaics will take all necessary care, but accepts no responsibility for the damage to or loss of property left in the venue prior to, during or after a class or event. Workshed Mosaics is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal items in any form.

We treat each case on its merits, but please understand we have people waiting on cancellations and could replace your booking if advised in time.  Sudden issues do arise and we appreciate this.  Any refund may be a reduced amount given our cost of preparation of materials and loss of the income from a late cancellation.
